This is my contribution to the exhibition “Dentro al buio” (Inside the Dark) of the Ossola Museums Association held in 2023 in Domodossola (Italy) on the theme of Alpine folklore and legends. I illustrated the basilisk, a mythological figure halfway between a rooster and a snake, I imagined him as a guardian of mountain treasures who petrifies predators, hunters and crystalliers with his gaze.
