The “raixe”, in Veneto, are the roots: the part of the plant that goes into the ground to draw nourishment and to give support; at the same time, in the common lexicon it also means origin, or cause. This is the artwork I created for the 2023 edition of Raixe, a food and wine event aimed at enhancing the territory, history and excellence around the valley I live in, “Valchiampo”. 

The illustration creates a metamorphosis between a common object of peasant civilization (the demijohn) and the root system of a plant, be it a vine or other, in any case a source of nourishment. The Corinthian capital symbol of the city of Chiampo closes the neck.
