La Velostazione is a cultural association based in Venice that promotes cycling culture through events, community projects, and initiatives connected to mobility, outdoor life, and contemporary culture. Among its main projects is Pavè – Pedalando a Venezia, a festival that combines the world of bicycles with music, cinema, literature, talks, and exploration.
For the 2026 edition of Pavè – Pedalando a Venezia, I created the main visual identity illustration used across the festival’s communication materials. The artwork features a female cyclist riding with her hair flowing in the wind, moving through a symbolic landscape shaped by the different cultural dimensions of the festival — from music and film to literature, encounters, and outdoor experiences.
The illustration was conceived to capture the spirit of Pavè through an energetic and contemporary visual language, balancing freedom, movement, and cultural attitude with a distinctly punk’n’roll aesthetic. Dynamic composition, bold shapes, and expressive details were used to translate the festival’s identity into a vibrant and recognizable visual narrative.
